Field. Farm. Table. – The Viaduct, the Hills, a Home from Home

A Taste of Llanerchindda
At Llanerchindda, food is at the heart of the welcome. After a day spent wandering the hills, breathing in the fresh country air or simply unwinding in peaceful surroundings, there’s nothing better than sitting down to a table filled with honest, home-cooked fare.
We take pride in serving hearty dishes inspired by Welsh tradition, using local produce wherever possible and recipes that have been lovingly prepared in our kitchen. Whether you’re starting the day with a generous breakfast or ending it with a comforting evening meal, you’ll find plenty to enjoy – simple, satisfying food made with care.

Breakfast -
Served 8:00 - 9:00am
Begin your morning the proper way with a generous farmhouse breakfast, brimming with wholesome goodness. Help yourself to fresh fruit juices, seasonal fruit, cereals and creamy yoghurts, alongside crusty bread rolls pastries, toast and local honey, jams and marmalade. Freshly brewed tea and coffee are always on hand.
To follow, enjoy a full cooked Welsh breakfast, served buffet-style – a hearty plate to set you up for a day exploring the hills and valleys.
Breakfast is included for guesthouse guests. For those staying in the cottages, it is available at an extra cost.
Booking needs to be made in advance.

Dinner - Served at 7:30pm
As evening settles over the countryside, join us for a traditional three-course dinner, freshly prepared and full of comforting flavours (advance booking required).
Starters might include warming home-made vegetable soup, brie and onion tortillas, or chicken satay. For mains, expect classic favourites such as roast loin of pork, tender topside of Welsh beef, rich beef and ale pie with a proper suet crust, or our much-loved Chicken Llanerchindda.
Save room for pudding – perhaps banana sticky toffee pudding, blackberry and apple crumble made with fruit gathered from our own hedgerows, syrup sponge, lemon cream tart, lemon meringue roulade, chocolate torte, banoffee pie, or a lighter fresh fruit salad.
Our menu changes daily, making the most of seasonal produce. Vegetarian dishes and other dietary requirements are happily catered for – from spinach and ricotta lasagne to apricot, aubergine and courgette tagine.
Please let us know your needs when booking.
Booking needs to be made in advance.
Includes all three courses, plus tea and coffee.
